How has the World Cup Affected South Africa?

For my Multimedia Component, I have added multiple interesting things. Firstly, below is a playlist of three songs. All three of these songs have been played over and over in South Africa, and are the Official songs for the 2010 World Cup. First, is 'Waka Waka' by Shakira. Then 'Wavin Flag' by K'naan and last is 'Sign of a Vitory' by R.Kelly.

My dad and I recently went on a trip to South Africa. I was lucky enough to see my family and go to two absolutely amazing soccer matches. I took several photos whilst I was there and will show and explain about some below. Some of these photos will be of the soccer, and how alive the people of South Africa were acting, and how amazing it was to be there. Some photos will also be of other sites I visited and how they had changed for this spectacular event. Although they may not be top of the range photos, they will give a brief outview of what it was like to be there, enjoy. Below, the Round of 16, Argentina vs Mexico. The result was 3-1 to Argentina.

Ghana vs Uruguay. Probably the most dramatic game of the World Cup. 84,000 people there, at least 75,000 were supporting Ghana. And to add to that, the whole continent of Africa, supporting the last African nation. What I think was an extremely cheap way in to the semi-finals, others say it got Uruguay through. The whole of Africa, astonished at what Lois Suarez did on the 120th minute. Let me remind you, Suarez is not Uruguay's goalkeeper. The end result was 1-1, 5-3 to Uruguay in penalties.
